Jerome, the owner of the ‘Spirit of Kinsale’ was a fisherman for 28 years, he was born and grew up on the Old Head of Kinsale, He had made the decision to retire from fishing and was looking for a business that would work well with his experience and his interests. As he is very keen on history and archeology, he took a full time heritage and tourism course with Coláiste Stiofán Naofa. An opportunity arose for him to take over ‘The Spirit of Kinsale’, this is an ideal opportunity to combine his maritime experience and his passion for heritage, culture and wildlife.
